Congratulations Robert Dietz

Last August, Robert Dietz of Orlando was recognized by the Civitan International organization. Robert has been involved with that group for almost 30 years, and has been active on a variety of levels locally and beyond. In recognition of this kind of service, Civitan awarded two International Honor Key awards at their 93rd International Convention last August, and one of those two International awards was presented to Robert Dietz.

According to their website, “Civitan International is an organization of volunteer service clubs around the world, dedicated to helping people in their own communities. Civitans help wherever the need arises - from collecting food for a homeless shelter, to volunteering at their local retirement home, to building a playground for children with disabilities. Civitans have been helping people since the organization’s founding in 1917, by a group of businessmen determined to making a difference in their community.”

Robert is a leader in the workers’ compensation community. He has been practicing workers’ compensation for years, and will soon celebrate his thirtieth year as an attorney. For much of that career, he was a member of the Zimmerman Kiser firm in Orlando, and only recently set off on his own, opening Robert Dietz mediation. He is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Workers’ Compensation Sections of the Bar. Robert has been Board Certified in workers’ compensation for the last 21 years. He is the President of the Professional Mediation Institute, and leads the production of their annual mediation education program in conjunction with the annual WCI conference each August.

According to Civitan, the International Honor Key “is presented to Civitans who have exemplified the highest level of leadership through club, district and international offices; and who have contributed to the growth and awareness of the organization.” It is interesting that the organization boasts 40,000 members in almost 1,000 clubs around the world. Of all of those individuals, two International Honor Key awards were presented this year, and one of those was presented to Robert Dietz.

Congratulations Robert on this public recognition of your leadership, and contributions to your community.
